Course Overview
This course is designed for individuals who need to understand the requirements for, and to perform the software installation of, the Nuage Networks Virtualized Services Platform (VSP).
The course provides practical experience verifying and configuring the hardware and software environments, as well as troubleshooting common installation problems.

- Basic knowledge of KVM and VMware hypervisors
- Experience with the Linux operating system and
commands

Course Objectives
After completing the course, students should be able to:
- Describe the Nuage Networks VSP software-based products and solutions.
- Describe the installation environment required for the Nuage Networks VSP software-based products, including Virtualized Services Directory (VSD), Virtualized Services Controller (VSC), Virtualized Routing and Switching (VRS) and Virtualized Services Routing and Switching Gateway (VRS-G).
- Explain cloud service network instantiation with Nuage Networks VSP.
- Describe the functions and purpose of the VSD.
- Describe the VSD deployment models: standalone and high availability (HA).
- Describe the VSD hardware and software installation requirements.
- Install and verify a standalone VSD.
- Install and verify an HA VSD cluster.
- Explain the functions of the Nuage Networks Software Defined Networking (SDN) controller – VSC.
- Describe the VSC hardware and software installation requirements.
- Install and verify a standalone VSC.
- Explain the functions of VRS.
- Describe the key components of Nuage Networks VRS: VRS agent and Open vSwitch (OVS).
- Describe the VRS hardware and software installation requirements.
- Install and verify VRS on a KVM hypervisor.
- Launch virtual machines on a KVM hypervisor and attach them to overlay domains created using the VSD.
- Describe the VRS deployment principle on an ESXi hypervisor.
- Manually install and verify VRS on an ESXi hypervisor via the vCenter integration node.
- Launch virtual machines on an ESXi hypervisor and attach them to overlay domains created on the VSD.
- Explain the functions of the VRS-Gateway (VRS-G).
- Install and verify the VRS-G on a KVM hypervisor.
- Attach a BMS to the overlay domain through the VRS-G.
- Describe the VNS solution.
- Install and verify the demonstration utility VM.
- Bootstrap an NSG-BR instance connecting the datacenter to a WAN underlay.
- Bootstrap an NSG instance connecting the WAN underlaynto a remote branch.
- Use domain linking to connect VMs in the datacenter and branch domains.
- Describe the purpose and function of Metro-AE.
- Use Metro-AE to automate installation of Nuage Networks VSP software components.
