Course Objectives
After completing the course, students should be able to:
- Describe Nuage Networks VNS, and the function of each of its components, including the Virtualized Services Directory (VSD), Virtualized Services Controller (VSC) and Network Services Gateway NSG)
- List the different networks in a VNS-managed system (management, underlay, and overlay), and their roles
- Describe IP reachability requirements between VNS elements over the management, underlay, and overlay networks
- List the protocols used by different network elements (XMPP, OpenFlow, BGP), and test that the proper sessions have been established
- Configure statistics collection and threshold crossing alerts
- Use system tools and log files to troubleshoot and correct issues affecting the operation of a VSP-managed datacenter
- Access the VSD and retrieve information using the REST API
- Backup and restore the VSD database
