Nuage Networks to build a certified Quantum plug-in for certification with Red Hat OpenStack
Mountain View, CA – April 17, 2013 – Nuage Networks, which provides software defined networking (SDN) solutions for datacenter networks, is pleased to announce it is collaborating with Red Hat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, to support the continued tremendous growth of cloud services.
Nuage Networks will work with Red Hat to certify its OpenStack Quantum plug-in for Red Hat’s planned enterprise cloud management solution, Red Hat OpenStack. By working together, the two companies are taking a significant step forward in building advanced SDN capabilities to underpin the cloud networks of service providers and enterprises around the world.
OpenStack is a popular open source cloud management platform used globally by service providers and enterprises to build public, private and hybrid clouds. The cloud operating system controls large pools of compute, storage, and networking resources throughout a datacenter, all managed through a dashboard that gives administrators control while empowering their users to provision resources through a web interface. Quantum is an OpenStack project to provide “networking as a service” between interface devices managed by other Openstack services.
